Canon just released a webcam driver for certain cameras. Please add support for the driver so canon DSLRs can utilize Vcam as well.

NukeWorker MergedCanon has release a driver to use their camera as a webcam, OBS and Corel detect it as a video input, but XSplit VCam does not.

Robert BakerThis is a deal breaker for me if they do not hurry. Will switch to OBS since they were able to implement it quickly.

Gazreyn Admin@Robert - It's very simple to add support for the Canon EOS utility as a webcam when no calculations are being done on the source. However, this isn't the case with VCam. OBS can not remove the background of your Canon DSLR through EOS Utility without some kind of greenscreen or chroma key. Broadcaster and Gamecaster also supported EOS Utility webcams the day they were released.
The issue becomes when you start getting in to the realms of machine learning, neural networks and the math required. -

Antonio RadI'm hoping this is still in the works and slated for release soon if possible. It is beta software at the moment so we don't mind if it's buggy at launch.

Ben BauerTeams and Zoom were both quick to pick it up and be able to apply blur/backgrounds without a green screen. Is it the video support in VCam that makes this a challenge compared to what other companies have already accomplished?

cheesy-rambo AdminWe have encountered issues with the webcam utility - issues with resolution, colorspace format, and sometimes app crashes. We have contacted the developers, and hopefully be able to add this in VCam asap.
I checked if there’s an update for the webcam utility but I see the latest is still the April release 0.9.0. version. -

EliseIt seems a lot of other streaming services have integrated this feature- I wonder what the timeline might be fore XSplit to catch up? More cameras are being added as we go forward and it would be really lovely to have access to this!

cheesy-rambo AdminHello! :)
Please get the latest EOS Webcam Utility 1.0 (09/16/20). This can be detected by XSplit VCam.
Make sure to use the latest version of VCam (download the latest in https://www.xsplit.com/vcam). We've added the option to enable virtual cameras and fixed a resolution issue when using professional camera webcam utility or when camera is connected via elgato camlink.
